| Universal Vertical Door Conversion Kits |
| |
|
Vertical Doors Inc conversion kits are made for each individual application. Each kit is designed to fit each application they offer. All kits are well designed and put through a R&D process before they release any application. Each door conversion kit is made and manufactured in USA and come with a manufacturers warranty on all kits and shocks.
This kit is not a direct Bolt-On. The hinge bolt flanges' have not been pre-drilled. The bolt pattern of the donor car is transferred to the Universal Application Kit. The bolt holes are drilled on-site. The kit may also be welded where applicable. When ordered car/truck/suv type and model is noted and correct gas strut is applied at the time of assembly. This is why we refer to the universal application kit as a Custom Kit.
All Vertical Doors, Inc. Door Conversion Kits Include:
2 gas shocks, 2 VDC hinges (one for each side) and All mounting hardware.

How does the VDC kit function?
When inside you will grab the door handle of the car. Pulling the door toward you the door will open 12 - 18 inches like they do normally. From there the door will stop and not open horizontally any further. Once done you will now grab the bottom of the door and lift vertically. The door will then reach a certain point which it will not lift anymore. At this point you will be able to get in and out of the vehicle. In normal case the bottom back portion of the door will be higher than the roof of the vehicle.
