AutoSportz (AS): How did you get started in the import scene?
Carla-Maria: I was introduced to the import scene by Carlos Quintero of iClique.com. He approached me at my job and did one of my first photoshoots.
AS: Did you always want to be a model or did it just happen by chance?
Carla-Maria: I have to admit that I have always wanted to model, ever since I was really young.
AS: When was your first car show?
Carla-Maria: I'm not too sure when my first car show was, but I believe it was Import Motion in 2002 or 2003.
AS: Where are you originally from and where did you grow up?
Carla-Maria: I was born in Berkeley, CA but grew up in a small suburb, Moraga, CA.
AS: Are you the good or bad girl?
Carla-Maria: Half and half. I can be a good girl when neccessary, but being a bad girl is more fun!
AS: Who has been your biggest influence or role model?
Carla-Maria: I would have to say my mom and my cousins. I really look up to my mother & her accomplishments, my family is #1 and I consider them to be my biggest influence and role models.
AS: Besides modeling, what interests or hobbies do you have?
Carla-Maria: I am currently a full-time college student, so between that and modeling, I find I have limited free time. However, I do try to keep in shape, and like most women I love to spend time shopping. One of my favorite things to do to unwind is to paint watercolors, or draw, I've always loved art.
AS: What do you like about import cars and why?
Carla-Maria: It's amazing to see what people can do with cars! A lot of the cars at shows are like works of art- each one is different and full of expression.
AS: What kind of vehicle do you drive?
Carla-Maria: I'm pretty boring right now, I drive a 2003 V6 Accord. I chose it because it's economical and looks discreet.
AS: Do you have any plans for your ride or have you already finished modding it?
Carla-Maria: I don't have any plans for my car since I plan on buying a new one real soon.
AS: If you could afford any car what would it be?
Carla-Maria: I'm a big fan of the BMW M5.
AS: What's the funniest or sweetest thing a fan has ever done to get your attention?
Carla-Maria: I would have to say the sweetest thing ever was a fan that bought 7 of my 8x10s at a show. He was real excited to meet me and that made me happy.
AS: Is there anything about your import modeling career that you wished you would have done differently or regret?
Carla-Maria: If anything, I would not have shot with so many people in the beginning. Now I tend to keep my content more exclusive to my site, but what's important is that I learn from my mistakes- afterall, no one is perfect.
AS: What advice would you give to young women who are just getting started in import modeling?
Carla-Maria: Stick to what works for you. If you don't feel comfortable shooting certain types of content, DON'T. Be careful and have fun!
AS: Have you or would you pose nude?
Carla-Maria: Yes, I do pose nude. My website is fully-nude. Posing nude may not be right for everyone, but it works for me :-), maybe because I don't mind nudity.
AS: Do you have anything coming up you'd like to tell your fans?
Carla-Maria: As the summer approaches I will be attending more shows and shooting some girlfriends sets so keep posted!
AS: Anyone you wish to give thanks to?
Carla-Maria: Thanks AutoSportz.com for featuring me :-). Also, thanks to my family, friends, fans, and a special thanks to my webmaster Paul Andre!
