AutoSportz (AS): How did you get started in the import scene?
Erin: I got started on the import scene when I contacted John Lomax of DialD Magazine and he immediately set me up to work the Hot Import Nights events.

AS: Did you always want to be a model or did it just happen by chance?
Erin: I always wanted to be a model, but never fully pursued it until about 2 years ago. I started out doing extra work for commercials such as Snickers and Infiniti cars and finally hit a big shoot for Pony Athletic Shoes. That ad is running as a poster throughout Europe. I did many other smaller advertisements and also competed and was selected as a 2005 ESPN Miller Lite Fuegos Girl!

AS: When was your first car show?
Erin: My first car show was actually just recently. I worked the event for Hot Import Nights Chicago and they liked me so much they wanted to fly me to Washington DC for the next event. I had a lot of fun and plan to get into the car show scene a lot more in the future!

AS: Where are you originally from and where did you grow up?
Erin: I am orginally from Saginaw, MI and lived there until I was 13. We moved after that to Raleigh, NC and then finally to Chicago, IL. I have moved quite often since then also (Colorado and Florida twice) but always seem to return here to Chicago. It's become my home.

AS: What should people know about you?
Erin: There are many things people should know about me! ;o) If there's anything you'd like to know, simply ask. I am very honest, loyal, sweet, but I can certainly hold my own if need be. I expect the same from those I surround myself with. Loyalty and someone who is defensive are my biggest turn-ons.

AS: Are you the good or bad girl?
Erin: I am a even mixture of both a good and bad girl.

AS: Who has been your biggest influence or role model?
Erin: My biggest influence (silly as it may seem) was a female I met somewhere along the way. Something about her inspired me to do better for myself and suddenly I had all these accomplishments that probably wouldn't have been possible had I not met her. I don't think she even knows and if she did, she wouldn't understand. Otherwise, my biggest influence would be myself! I am always pushing myself to the edge and beyond to get where I need to go and I couldn't have done it without my own hard work and strong mind.

AS: Besides modeling, what interests or hobbies do you have?
Erin: My hobbies or interests incldue just hanging out with my friends, I love to laugh, exercising, I love baseball (White Sox), football (Michigan Wolverines), any kind of water sport, animals, fashion.

AS: What do you like about import cars and why?
Erin: I absolutely love import cars because, well....I just love cars. I'm supposed to be working the shows and mingling with the guests yet you'll often find me wandering around by myself gawking at the incredible cars!

AS: What kind of vehicle do you drive? And why did you choose that car?
Erin: The vehicle I drive is a 2004 racer yellow Chev. Cavalier LS Coupe. I'm very proud of her! ;o) I purchased her because she was all sooped up. Lots of extra goodies on her. The sales guy was somewhat perturbed by me as I wasn't making his job easy. I wanted a yellow Cav. and ONLY yellow. My car has louvres, fenders, spoiler, chrome rims, wide racing tires (not sure of exact size), 6 cyl. engine, sunroof, great ground effects, MP3 player, and high bass sound system.

AS: Do you have any plans for your ride or have you already finished modding it?
Erin: I am not actually finished modding my vehicle. I am not sure what's it called, but I would like the doors to open up instead of outwards. I also want to tint the windows and add more speakers.

AS: If you could afford any car what would it be?
Erin: If I could afford any car what would it be? Hmmm...a Bentley or an Austin Martin.

AS: What's the funniest or sweetest thing a fan has ever done to get your attention?
Erin: The funniest/sweetest thing a fan has ever done for me was to send flowers to my work. Although I found that to be a bit scary. It proceeded into more until I had to handle the situation a bit more assertively.

AS: Is there anything about your import modeling career that you wished you would have done differently or regret?
Erin: There is nothing about my import modeling career I wish I would have done differently other than I wish I would have started a lot earlier.

AS: Have you or would you pose nude?
Erin: Yes, I have posed nude before but they were artistic (everything is subtly covered) or they were extremely tasteful and didn't show much of my "private parts". For the Miller Lite Calendar we shot the photographer (Andrew goldman) and makeup artist ended up being from Playboy. I got some great contacts and am now setting up a testshoot with them to pose for Playboy themselves.

AS: What advice would you give to young women who are just getting started in import modeling?
Erin: My advice to young women just starting a modeling career is to never, EVER give up. Use rejection and negative critiquing as a way of BUILDING self esteem not DROPPING it. There will be a lot of rejection, but if you keep pluggin' away and stay head-strong you will eventually get to where you need to be!

AS: Do you have anything coming up you'd like to tell your fans?
Erin: Hmmm....Anything coming up that I would like to tell my fans? July 10th is the "Sew Hot" fashion show which will be a televised red carpet event. I am a runway model for the show which should be fun. The Miller Lite Girls events should start fairly soon and many of them will include the Chicago Bears games. I'm hoping we will also be doing some White Sox events, but they're still considering it! ;o( Our calendar should also be up for purchase soon! Come and check out my official website if you like: www.ModelErinConnor.com

AS: Anyone you wish to give thanks to?
Erin: Anyone I wish to give thanks to? *sigh* Thanks to the female who, if I hadn't met her, I may not have ever accomplished all that I have accomplished. She didn't lift a finger and she may never know what I mean, but thanks to her. Also huge thanks to my family who have been so supportive and encouraging. Thanks also to my friends both old and new who make life so entertaining and comical! *grin* And of course to any fans I have out there. You guys are the ones who make it all worth it!
