AutoSportz (AS): How did you get started in the import scene?
Joyce: I did teen modeling when I was about 14 years old, department stores
runway & advertisement. Than when I was about 18, I auditioned with Autocannon
Clothing Company and became their first spokesmodel along with 6 other beautiful ladies, which lead me to many other modeling opportunities..
AS: When was your first car show?
Joyce: It has been so long.I think AutoRama???
AS: Where are you originally from and where did you grow up?
Joyce: I was born in Hong Kong. As I was growing up in Hong Kong, I had learned to enjoy the city of life. It is a city full of excitements, cultures, festivities, and amazing skyscrapers. During my childhood my family and I travel to Melbourne, Australia very often. Where my family settled and grows. However, as my father began to discover the sunny San Diego, California my family decided to move, where now I call my home.
AS: What should people know about you?
Joyce: I don't think I need to explain to people about what they need to know
about me. Because usually personal perspective of oneself will always be more
positive than those who are around us. So, I really think is best to just meet
me, and talk to me than you can be the judge.
AS: Are you the good or bad girl?
Joyce: I can be really good and really bad depends on the situation. But in
most public eyes I would have to go with the answer "Good".
AS: Who has been your biggest influence or role model?
Joyce: I don't really have a role model for modeling. But I would have to say
my friends and my sister are the biggest supporters in everything I do. Because
they believe in me, and help me thru the tough times.
AS: Besides modeling, what interests or hobbies do you have?
Joyce: I usually study, or read my books. Sometimes I go shoot guns, and go to my friends and family's party. But I really just love to sleep, and relax to watch my Chinese DVDs.
AS: What do you like about import cars and why?
Joyce: I respect the facts that people spend so much time and money on their
love of import cars & culture. And because there are so much energy in this
scene it has develop so well and becoming a respectful culture worldwide.
AS: What kind of vehicle do you drive?
Joyce: 2002 Honda Accord, V6 coupe
AS: If you could afford any car what would it be?
Joyce: No, forget a car, I want a Yacht. Prefer 100 ft. length with 3 levels, party for my friends.
AS: What's the funniest or sweetest thing a fan has ever done to get your attention?
Joyce: hahahahah I am super easy to satisfy. They bring me food, and wear my
Joyce Lex's apparel line.
AS: Is there anything about your import modeling career that you wished you would have done differently or regret?
Joyce: Space Holder
AS: Have you or would you pose nude?
Joyce: I will never post nude, and never did before. I respect those who do.
Modeling is just a part time job for me. It provides me the opportunity to
learn about the business and the marketing perspective to build my own empire.
I don't need to pose nude to learn that.
AS: What advice would you give to young women who are just getting started in import modeling?
Joyce: Its a job, treat it like it is. You didn't get anywhere unless there is
a paycheck in your name. First learn about the business, than look at the
strategies to market yourself. Don't ever sell out yourself because it is a
tough game. If you are going to do it, think with a business mind, this is not
a game you wouldn't have fun unless you work hard, be professional, always on
time and always know your surrounding. Once you get on top, that's when you can
have fun.
AS: Do you have anything coming up you'd like to tell your fans?
Joyce: I just sign with McDonald's and renewal my contract with Falken Tire
Co. So I will be touring to many more cities this year to meet my fans. Go to
my website and find out more info. Thanks again for all your support.
AS: Anyone you wish to give thanks to?
Joyce: Of course to my Fans. without them I will not be where I am at right
now. Also those who are taking their time to read my interview right now. Thank
you to my friends, and family for continuous support. Please visit my site for
