AutoSportz (AS): How did you get started in the import scene?
Lori Ann: With my car. I entered my car in a car show for the first
time, and lowrider magazine discovered me as I was going to the bathroom
to wash the brakedust off my hands! He took a head shot then printed it
in 3 magazines. (Euro Lowrider, Lowrider, and Car Audio.)
AS: Did you always want to be a model or did it just happen by chance?
Lori Ann: I secretly always wanted to be a model. What girl wouldn't!!!
But it fell on my lap and I am glad it did. I believe in fate.
AS: When was your first car show?
Lori Ann: UMMMM... for my car> April 1999
AS: Where are you originally from and where did you grow up?
Lori Ann: I was born in Oakland, Cali. But I am a military brat so I
lived in CA, Hawaii, Alaska, Wisc. but most of my life I lived in
Virginia Beach. So HERE! VA BABY!
AS: What should people know about you?
Lori Ann: That I am as real as they come when it comes to persona. I am
just like everyone else...say hi, I will say it back. Just talk to
me....don't be shy.
AS: Are you the good or bad girl?
Lori Ann: HMMM... BOTH!
AS: Who has been your biggest influence or role model?
Lori Ann: My mother and father. My mother was a professional model
(runway-in hawaii) and my father taught me to follow my dream...I wanted
a hooked up car.... so I hooked one up myself. (No my BF did not help
me.)
AS: Besides modeling, what interests or hobbies do you have?
Lori Ann: I am into advertising and the whole automotive scene. Thats
why I am starting up my own magazine called Trapspeed... You'll see it
soon. I also like modeling so I started up IEC MODELS, INC a few years
ago.
AS: What do you like about import cars and why?
Lori Ann: Japanese Technology is the best. I like the style. They last
longer. Need I say more?
AS: What kind of vehicle do you drive?
Lori Ann: Celica, and Chevy Blazer, and Ford Explorer.
AS: Do you have any plans for your ride or have you already finished modding it?
Lori Ann: I will never be done with my project celica. I would like it to be faster and do some suicide doors and get crazy with the fiberglass system. Also new interior and upholstery would be nice. And bigger rims and a different wing. That's all for now.
AS: If you could afford any car what would it be?
Lori Ann: Cadillac sports car or Escalade.
AS: What's the funniest or sweetest thing a fan has ever done to get your attention?
Lori Ann: He drew a picture of me, paid me to sign it, (He just gave me
the money I did not ask, and gave it to me to keep. Also people who feed me and give me their coats if I was cold... or help me carry my stuff.
AS: Is there anything about your import modeling career that you wished you would have done differently or regret?
Lori Ann: I would of wished to have better guidance. Alot of new models
don't know the ropes, and now having this much experience I love passing
on the knnowledge to other models through my business. Pretty much, I
wish I got everything in writing and had a good corporate attourney by
my side like I do now to handle my bookings.
